Esty Hayim will discuss the writing process of her latest book, ‘Sid’ and the construction of anti-heroic characters: those we never notice, like older women, holocaust survivors and refugees. She will relate to the tragicomic elements in her plots and to granting voice to broken or hidden memories. She will then speak about truth and fiction in her novels and will challenge the notion that being a writer means being a humanist.
