Israeli Artists Meet Yehuda Amicahi

Yehuda Amichai is the most translated Israeli poet of all times. His poetry is very personal, and yet, at the same time it tells a story that is very Israeli and also very universal. In this engaging lecture participants will get to know Amichai as a person, the depth of the references to Jewish stories and stories from other cultures and the way that Israeli composers and singers interpreted his poems and made them into popular and familiar Israeli songs.

The workshop dates are: 9/10, 9/24, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3 - Thursdays 8-9:30 PM EDT. Every lecture presents different artists such as: Mati Caspi, Shlomo Gronich, Yehudit Ravitz and more. We record the lectures if you happen to miss one. The detailed plan in Hebrew is HERE.
